Xandari
The Xandari, or Xandarian, are benign mammalian creatures known for their agility and dexterity. They possess blue fur, prominent buckteeth, prehensile tails, and bioluminescent markings that shift color based on their emotional state.
Upon reaching maturity, they can release a healing and binding fluid called Nyxium from their genitals at any time. While bottom garments are optional, they typically wear loincloths or skirts, draping down their exposed genitals with leg and tail straps to hold accessories.
Adulthood also grants them the right to consensual domination and submission, often involving clear discipline based on reinforcement learning. Safe words are utilized for safety during these interactions. It is possible for certain individuals to switch between these roles. While this practice may appear violent to outsiders, it is precisely why they are considered benign. This commonality serves as a secondary, mutable social hierarchy within their society. Although some may overstep boundaries, resulting in actual punishment, absolute power remains rare within the primary hierarchy system.
Background
The Xandarians were conceived by Tony Bark when he realized his fennec characters, Zack and Max Casey, exhibited traits of a derivative species due to their blue fur color. Visually, the Xandarians evolved from a previous species, the Velorians.
While both Xandarians and Velorians shared an exposed crotch culture, the reasons behind this practice differed. Velorians possessed enhanced durability, making attire more aesthetic compared to the Xandarians’ more utilitarian approach. Nyxium was created to establish them as “Living MacGuffins” while ensuring it genuinely benefited their society first.
The idea of incorporating BDSM based on reinforcement learning stemmed from pup play. Although the concept leans towards the sexual, Bark believed it offered a more compelling alternative to another species centered around violence in their culture.
