Andromorph

From Caseyverse Wiki

Under the dictionary definition, an andromorph is an organism with male physical characteristics, i.e., a male mimic. In fiction, including the Caseyverse, this term is often depicted as a male character born with or transforming to possess female reproductive capabilities. The former is often depicted with the ability to give birth using eggs to compensate for the more rigid frame. As the concept remains relatively new, the term "andromorph" was collectively agreed upon in fandoms as a close enough word that wasn't blunt or seen as derogatory.

Many of Tony Bark's characters within the Caseyverse are portrayed with andromorph characteristics, such as Kit Welsh and Max Casey. In his AI Dungeon games, he has to work around these limitations of being a new concept by justifying it as a genetic mutation that is addressed as both sex and gender within the game's lore entries. In Bark's constructed languages, he avoids this dilemma altogether by simply making them gender-neutral.
