ACE Badge
The Authorized Clearance Entry, or the ACE Badge, is a badge that displays a star encircled by olive branches. Utilizing PSI technology, it is capable of adapting a title and affiliation based on the user’s intentions if they can provide a contextually plausible identity. The illusion only holds if the reader isn’t familiar with the technology behind it.
Background
[edit | edit source]Originally known as the Omni-Security Identification Card, or OSI Card, the badge was directly based on and inspired by Doctor Who’s Psychic Paper. It was designed to be used within AI Dungeon to give an in-universe justification for letting himself and his characters explore areas they wouldn’t normally be authorized to stay in.
Conically, it was given to the Casey Brothers, Max and Zack, by a relative in order for the latter, who is shy, to explore more. In the Synthetic Fur scenario, it is Zack and his Synth roommate on Oklar Prime. Finally, it is found in the customizable version of the Oklar scenario.
