The Caseyverse existed in a state of flux before the [[NOVAR-22 Pandemic]] struck. While [[Bridgeport]], located on Nethington Island, served as a central location, most of Tony Bark’s stories remained relatively independent. Though vague references to a broader universe occasionally appeared, concrete details remained elusive.

=== Sunset ===
“[[Sunset]],” an unpublished story, reintroduced Bark’s original character, Zack, in a new setting and introduced the mouse character, Aidan Cheddar. Initially conceived as a three-part narrative with a civil war arc, it aimed to establish the nascent Caseyverse. The concept envisioned Bridgeport as a fledgling city-state undergoing internal conflict.

However, this ambitious plan was ultimately abandoned as Bark realized his characters were not suited for such a grand narrative. Despite its unfulfilled potential, “Sunset” unintentionally laid the groundwork for the Caseyverse. Bark later delved into the narrative significance of several elements present in the story, ultimately shaping the city of Bridgeport and its place within the broader universe.

=== Model T ===
“[[Model T]],” a smaller-scale “boy and his robot” story, takes place within the already established, albeit fragmented, Caseyverse. It introduced Nathan, an android with a fennec aesthetic who serves as a companion to Zack. In a revised version titled “Synthetic Fur,” Nathan’s mechanics are further developed and he becomes the companion to Zack’s cousin, Max.
