'''There’s Something About Foxxo''' is a short story that follows the titular character, Foxxo, as he attempts to secure a deal for a watermill to help the village and increase the production of his bakery. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned when his friend and butler, Joe, takes a day off after the two discover he is negotiating with a hard-boiled General. Foxxo is forced to seek help from Wuffle, who fills in for Joe, while he attempts to negotiate a deal.

* Set after the events of “[[Sister Act]]”, the story is the direct sequel to “[[Farming Foxxo]]”. The character’s arc concludes with “[[Foxxo’s Baker]]<nowiki/>y”.
* The forest that was first introduced in this story would serve as a key location in Volume 3, the comic’s final. 
** Within the Caseyverse continuity, the forest is known as the [[Hundred Acre Wood]]. It is located between the village and the city of Bridgeport.

* The story repeatedly suggests that the villagers own shares in Gingerbread Bakery.
* Joe and Aunt Picky both personally know who General Bacon is. Joe’s genuine fear at the sight of the General in the beginning, leaving towards the polar bear’s absence until the end, suggests unresolved tensions.
* There’s Something About Foxxo is likely based on an unpublished comic where Joe pretended to quit as an April Fools’ joke.
* The story is both a deconstruction and reconstruction of Foxxo’s character. The deconstruction criticizes Foxxo’s greed and highlights just how dependent he has become on Joe. He is finally reconstructed when he finally declines the General’s offer for reasons that go beyond money.
** As a consequence, Foxxo takes on more active roles in the village in Volume 3, without Joe needing to directly intervene like he did during Volume 1.
* General K. Bacon is likely based on an early General Hogsworth concept when Wuffle was first pitched as a video game.
* Foxxo was likely able to secure a deal with the General’s sister, possibly the equivalent of Marylin in order to get wood to help repair the home, which had previously been a sight for gags back in Volume 1.
* Hundred Acre Woods being in the same spot as the one mentioned in There’s Something About Foxxo is a complete coincidence, as Bark had not fully read the story up until that point.
